Welcome to the 2025 National Conference for Community Language Schools!
Dear Community Language Schools, Principals, Teachers and School Leaders,
Community Languages Australia in collaboration with the Ethnic Schools Association of Queensland (ESAQ), is excited to invite you to its 19th National Community Language Schools Conference which will be held on Saturday, 12th April, 2025 at ُTAFE Queensland, Block C Building in the South Bank Campus in Brisbane from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Community language schools play a major role in providing language education and promoting multiculturalism in Australia.
Nationally, we have close to 1,000 language schools delivering over 70 languages to over 110,000 students. They are complementary providers to mainstream schools in delivering language education and work in close partnership with mainstream schools in all jurisdictions. Their role is identified in National Statements and Plans for Language Education in Australia.
The conference theme is Building Bridges Through Languages and it will be a full-day conference featuring high quality presenters, a keynote address, professional development workshops, live performances, and a vibrant cultural atmosphere. Expect a day filled with delicious food, a joyful environment, and plenty of opportunities for learning and networking among peers and mentors.
Whether you're a teacher, volunteer, school leader, or community member, there will be opportunities for learning and networking.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the Conference!
